Crain’s is reporting that the new wave of residential development in Downtown Chicago is being met with an equivalent surge in demand, positioning buildings like NEMA Chicago as some of the most desirable in the Windy City. Designed by Rafael Viñoly, this Grant Park skyscraper will be home to 800 Downtown Chicago rentals when complete. The tower will also feature a suite of amenities aimed at keeping residents healthy and relaxed, as well as awestruck by the panoramic Lake Michigan vistas from the tower’s upper floors. The building itself features the iconic bundled tube design pioneered by architect Fazlur Rahman Khan when he crafted the Sears (now Willis) Tower.
