Chicago’s Sears Tower, lately the Willis Tower, was the first skyscraper in the world, and now a new class of 800-plus-foot towers is coming to the Windy City. Curbed recently ran a roundup of these new towers and featured NEMA Chicago, a 76-story glass-facade tower rising on the city’s southern edge. Rafael Viñoly Architect team took inspiration from the Willis Tower’s iconic “bundled tube” construction, giving these new Downtown Chicago apartments a classic feel without sacrificing modern luxury elements like floor-to-ceiling windows, 6-inch wide-plank flooring, and recessed balconies perfect for the summer months. Leasing is now open for spring move-ins at this luxury tower.
